for those that complain about gaming on laptops let me just say that there’s a new breed of gamers. the type who have lives and go out, but are still gamers at heart and like to play in between or even while meeting up with something called friends.

  • ZombehWolf:

You guys can complain about laptops being used for gaming all you want, but it’s just getting tiresome. I’ll never buy a desktop simply because I take my computer to my friends and WE GAME, I take it to school and WE GAME, wherever I go, I GAME. I don’t like being stuck in my room all day gaming. I like to get out too, even if it is just to game X3.

    intel quad core q9000 2ghz
    ati mob radeon hd 4850 512mb ddr3

just 650 pounds , i thought you had the advent 8555gt

  • turboimport95:

    no i got ati 4890

  • Aeshmauniversus:

@turboimport95 do you have the 8500 gx?

  • turboimport95:

also my 40 fps is on ethusiasts settings maxed out with max xaa and motion blur on but yeah nice lp get a cheap desktop 4 gaming its a lot better =]

  • silvershadowkat:

well, you said “1440-900 res and i get 40 fps”

i didnt run fraps to get the fps, but im guessing it was around 40 to 50 with no action (was pretty damn smoothe with no lag), and then probably down to 20 to 30 with alot of action. i think its pretty good for this multimedia laptop. (its not an actual gaming laptop)

  • turboimport95:

laptops arnt meant 4 gaming my cheap ass 500 bux pc pounds laptops that cost 3x or even more into the ground

  • turboimport95:

nice my 500 bux pc is 2x faster laptos fail 4 gaming

  • turboimport95:

sigh i get over 90 fps on dirt 2 max settings on my 500 bux pc

  • turboimport95:

900p my ass mine is 1080pfull speed huh wats ur fps

  • silvershadowkat:

whyd you compare to a desktop? lol. thats pretty foolish.

anyways, why are you only running it at 900p? thats a waste if you want to talk about running it on max. thats like the same as saying running on max settings at 720p and you get full speed. small testing with this game at 1080p on my studio xps16 gave me full speed except when alot of people on screen.

  • turboimport95:

nice laptop but try running it on max and watch that shit lagg like hell my 500 bux desktop pc can run crysis on max ethusiasts with motion blur on at 1440-900 res and i get 40 fps easily and i got a 100 bux amd quad and a ati 4890 gpu no way that lp will run it on max.

  • srwilli4m:

does your laptop have the edge to edge rgbled lcd screen? If not, what is the quality like?

  • srwilli4m:

the issue is with the 90w power brick not supplying enough power. if you contact dell about it you will get a free 130w adapter and the problem goes away.

  • shrint:

hey so i was wondering – since i’m buying mine not from dell, meaning i don’t get to customize it to have RGBLED (the one i’m getting doesn’t), I want to make up for it by buying an external monitor. My question is, what external monitor types (or specs) produce results like the RGBLED? And also, should I be worried about the graphics card not being to handle a larger , external monitor for gaming? thanks

  • Ryukaschien:

yeah but I believe dell solved the problem, if our thoughts are mutual. I saw a notification of it, a few hours ago.

  • mystycs:

Ah 1280×720 no wonder haha yea then it works good, i tried at 1920×1080 lmao then it runs great yea

  • mystycs:

What resolution did you run it at?

  • mystycs:

Jey Joker, im running crysis warhead at the same specs but it doesnt seem to be running at the same frames any idea? Got the same exact specs as you xepy 500gb 7200rpm, Maybe its just crysis warhead eh?
