The battery on my XPS M 1530 laptop from Dell died after only 6 months of use. Batery indicator showed 3% remaining and not charging even though the laptop had been plugged in and running for the last month. Warning appeared on the screen that said the battery had failed and needed to be replaced! Unlpugging the computer caused an immediate shutdown (no support from the battry at all). As is usual with Dell, could not get anywhere with support oher than to be pointed to the website to order another battery! That battery is over $160 with tax and shipping!
So, I went to Amazon and searched for and found this battery. I ordered it and paid for next day delivery. The battery was ordered late Thursday night and showed up on Saturday morning as expected. The battery fit and looks exactly like the original. The battery showed it was at least half charged (LED light on battery) and the computer when it started showed that the battery was at 70% and it started charging right away.
After the battry charged to 100%, I unplugged the laptop and then ran it for two hours on battery. This was the maximum I could get out of the original battery. This new battery still showed 40% remaining!!
I am very pleased with the quality of the battery finish and fit, also with the functionality! I would recommend this battery to anyone looking to replace the poor quality battery in their Dell. I can attest that this battery fits perfectly in the XPS M1530, but could not say anything about the fit on any of the other listed computers that it is supposed to support.

Wanted to wait a bit before submitting a review and test out the longevity of the charge for this new laptop battery. Happy to say that the battery lives upto it’s advertised performance: have not noticed any difference btw this spare and my other genuine Dell spare.

This battery is a lot cheaper and seems to fit and perform as well as the Dell original. I am hoping it will last more than the 1.5 year life of the original, but even if it last slightly less, the cost of this is worth giving it a try.

I bought this as a replacement battery for Toshiba XPS M1530 laptop. The item had a 1 year warranty. It fit the laptop perfectly. The charge indicator on the battery did not work when I received it, but I did not mind that as long as it held the charge. When I first received it, it held charge for a few hours (I did not keep exact time), and I was content with its performance. However, after about a month, I found that it was losing performance, and I had to re-charge the battery more often. After about 2 months, it held charge for less than 15 minutes at a time. Now, 2.5 months after I received the item, I cannot use the laptop without a connection to the AC power. The battery holds 0% power, so I hope the seller will honor the warranty.

I got this battery on time and as promised. Unfortunately, that’s where the positive review stops. After receiving the batter and giving it a full charge, the battery only lasted about 90 minutes. From there, things got worse. Now the battery will momentarily drop power so the forcing the laptop into shutdown mode. I booted the laptop right back up, and the battery had 40% charge left on it. This problem persisted regardless of how full the charge was. It has been very quirky. Amazon offered a refund, but that takes up to four weeks. This item is not worth the risk.
